Red Onion Compote
For the production of this product, as with all compotes based on ORGANIC red onions, a natural growth cycle of approximately 9 months is respected. The onion is planted in an open field in the winter months of October and November and then harvested in June or July. Cultivation processes are carried out strictly by hand, as are harvesting, sorting and cleaning. The finished product is not only sweet, delicious, easily digestible and highly beneficial to our bodies, but also repays all our efforts in an excellent way! Simply exquisite! In this particular version, red wine and balsamic vinegar are used to acidify the product - nothing could be simpler. The challenge is to find the right balance between sweetness, savouriness and acidity, and our chef has succeeded in doing this, giving you a product unlike any other on the market! Ah, we almost forgot, the d erence is made by our onion Chef's tip: This very unique compote goes well with various types of cheese, both mature cheeses with a strong flavour and semi-mature cheeses with a milder taste. Thanks to its defatting power, it is a good companion for barbecued meats, boiled meats and game in general. Ingredients: Red onions from Acquaviva 53%, balsamic vinegar, red wine, sugar.
